Russ Bogh Welcomes Historical Scott Brown Victory in US Senate Race in Massachusetts
January 20, 2010
Republican Scott Brown won a dramatic upset victory in a Massachusetts
US Senate special election to fill the vacant seat of Democratic Senator
Ted Kennedy who passed away this year.
"Scott Brown’s historical election victory in the birthplace of America’s
republic is a welcome signal in the battle to reclaim this country from the
liberal extremists now holding power in Washington DC and Sacramento," Russ Bogh said.
"Clearly, Brown’s message of bringing conservative values of smaller government and lower
taxes to Washington DC was successful in liberal Massachusetts, and I have no doubt voters
in California want the same thing in our state government. And that’s exactly what I plan to do in the State Senate."
Conservative businessman Russ Bogh also served Riverside County residents in the State Assembly from 2001-2006.
During that time he was selected by fellow Republicans to serve as the Assembly Republican Caucus Chairman -- the second ranking Republican leader in the Assembly.
A longtime resident of Riverside County, Russ and his wife, Sheri, reside in Beaumont along with their three children.
The special election primary for the 37th Senate District will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
